Is it possible to configure static routes to manage specific networks only. Let me explain, I want 2 specific networks to traverse my switches (one side is trust and one is untrust - METRO E circuit) and wanted to find out if I can just configure 2 static routes and don't configure a default gateway - which in my mind would eliminate the need to blackhole all remaining possible traffic since one end of this connection is untrusted. Am I understanding this one correct?
Thank you,
Thank you,

Hey Ted
Yes you can do that. Think of the default route as one last static route. it is there as a catch all if the switch doesn't know where to send the traffic.
If you use the correct static routes then you don't have to use any other routes.
Does that help?
Thanks
