Hi Community
In the past Extreme Analytics was supported in hardware using the coreflow 2 chip and looking towards the future this will be supported on all the new x86 switches with the new insight architecture. The new x465 and the new VSP7400 and VSP4900 will support the insight architecture.
Both the EXOS and VOSS os system now support Extreme Analytics.
Obviously the current EXOS and VOSS switches (example: x460 G2 series or VSP4000 Series) will need to do the same processing but only in software.
This brings me to my question from a scalability on the Analytics stats from these switches.
For example if I have two x460's running as a core with 12 edge switches connected to the core using MLAG.uplinks (500 users)
The core also acts as the router for the various VLANS.
If I now enable Extreme Analytics on the x460 core, this will add load to the CPU.
Can I happily look at enabling the analytics on the x460 core without being concerned with the CPU load?
Your thoughts would be appreciated.
