Simple device detection and policy application - straight EXOS

Good morning. I've not done a lot of policy work in EXOS except for some basic ACL's. I'm wondering if anyone has samples or guidance around detecting device types (like access points, thin clients, phones or pc"s) and automatically configuring switch ports based on those types. We don't have any policy management tools in place, so I'm looking for something fairly simple I can implement directly on each switch. In our case, all of the phones are polycom, all of the AP's are Sonicwall and all of the thin client's are HP T420's. I'm thinking I can likely get most of the info I need via LLDP, but I'm not sure where to get started on the policy/script side. Anyone doing this reliably that does not mind sharing some of their experience? Thanks in advance!

Take a look at "universal port" feature of EXOS. I think it's what you are looking for
