Good afternoon,

what will be a cause of the stacking port to failed,  only one port of the node is down , stacking ring still up connectivity remains on the node,  any commands to see what causes the error? just reboot the node?

thanks

Choose a time when the stack can be down.   Take one switch out of the stack ("disable stacking node address xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx") which will reboot into factory default mode.  Loop the stacking cable, then  run stack port diagnostics ("run diagnostics stack-port").   After that completes, I would run regular diagnostics as well ("run diagnostics normal").   Reconnect the cable into the ring and put it back into the stack ("enable stacking node address xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx") .   Keep track of stack member mac addresses to simplify the process.   Repeat the process on all stack members and all cables.  Hopefully it will tell you something useful.
