Stacking with 440G2 while keeping "alternate" ports free?

Does anyone know if you can enable stacking on a 440-G2 (mostly for the possibility of future expansion and not having to renumber ports) but still use the alternate stacking (rear) ports as standard interfaces (in our case for an MLAG ISC instead of stacking)? I like being able to use the slot:port in all configs to allow for any future expansion, but I'd like not to burn the front copper ports for my MLAG ISC and I have 10GB DAC cables available. Basically, I want to use stacking cables for MLAG, keep port naming of a stack, but not actually stack... I have a combination of different density switches I'd like to use this way (both 24 and 48 port). Thanks in advance!

Eric,
If there is no port assigned as a stacking port, you cannot enable stacking. When we deploy single switches, with stacking enabled, we assign only one port as a stacking port. We lose that port for an uplink port, but we are able to enable stacking.
