I’m trying to image a system in this expansion rack with my imaging system that functions in other racks. However, pxeboot never successfully assigns ip address.
- dhcp server (admin1) connected to top of rack 460 which connects to core x770, default vlan
- top of rack x690 connected to core x770. client system (node1) here connected to port 49 ( 4x10 ), default vlan. when node 1 pxe boots admin1 logs show discover, offer, but don’t show request, ack. (I expect them to get an ip address.) When system boots to OS, system comes up with ip address, hostname, no problem.
ive successfully set this up with x460’s, but what am I missing on the x690’s?

This is all on the same vlan - why would one need bootprelay? Or did I miss something?

Is NAC and Policies in use?
Port Mirror of the Client-Port on the X690 + Wireshark on the mirror-port could give some more hints.
