Unbalanced load in sharing using algorithm address-based L3_L4 LACP.

Unbalanced load in sharing using algorithm address-based L3_L4 LACP.

Hello,

On an X690-48x-2q-4c with EXOS 22.5.1.7-patch1-2, I have configured these commands.

enable sharing 19 grouping 19-20 algorithm address-based L3_L4 lacp

enable sharing 29 grouping 29-30 algorithm address-based L3_L4 lacp

Although the source and destination of the packets are several IP addresses, there is little load balancing.

30        A       10000    44.36         90.43         59.55          100.00

The Tx load is not balanced.  May I ask for suggestions to fix this, please?

Ambrose,

There is no good or bad load-balancing algorithm.

There is just an algorithm matching better your specific traffic pattern.

With EXOS, the choices are L2, L3 or L3_L4.

With those figures, I would have a look on the config on the other side to ensure that the algorithm is matching the same settings on both sides.

If all is ok, you can give it a try on L2 then L3.
