Could you tell me about question below,

By default, when Extreme L2 switch receive an "IEEE802.1Q-tagged Ethernet frame" , forward it to other port or drop it ?

I appreciate your answer.
So, is it right in thinking that IEEE standards define the behavior "drop" ?
Or does the behavior depend on vendor ?

Makoto,

It depend of the config on the port.

by “default” if nothing is configured, you should have vlan 1 untagged, so nothing tagged will go through
