Hi
I've several ERS5520 stacks and sometimes I get one of the switches restarted by itself. The status led is off on this unit too.
When I checked the logs, I found that it is usually combined with the following Exception:

C 3 2019-09-14 14:13:25 GMT+02:00 3 NVR Sw Exception: Task tCDTMain, Type Program, PC 0x019d24a8, SP 0x04f69e80

Hmm. Am seeing similar errors the last 2-3 weeks, but this specific error:

2020-02-21 20:04:00 GMT-0x:00 52 Sw Exception: Task tCDTMain, Type Data Access, PC 0x00fd3d10, SP 0x04ec4000

I just saw not more than 20 minutes ago.

This is for an ERS 5530-24THD switch that is S/A. The switch was running SW 6.3.5.025. Just upgraded to 6.3.6.017 earlier today, and the crashes are still occurring post-upgrade. These software exceptions seem to occur using switch operations such as working at the CLI, etc.

There is one fan that has Failed. I will hook up a PC to the console sport tomorrow and see what POST shows.

As there’s no more software support for this switch, there’s not much to do except perhaps shutdown un-needed services, etc to see if that corrects the problem. Hate to lose the use of these model switches - they still serve a purpose.
