3705i in Autonomous mode

Hi I will be performing site surveys using a Enterasys 3705i access point is there a way of making it autonomous, is there a model that can be made autonomous

The CLI on an access point is typically used for debugging and the thirdparty mode is not supported. Noted on the CLI ap shell... AP3715e 09.21.01.0179 interactive shell for service personnel only

I think better way will be to place EWC on virtual machine on laptop [free instance of Vmware player can do that]. You have full control of AP and it's really easy to use. You can check different AP's without need of console manipulations 🙂
