EWC C5210 Radius accounting packages client ip is 0.0.0.0

Hi,

We use EWC 5210 version 09.21.11.0004. On our 802.1x eduroam VNS we see that radius accounting session start packages lacks the client ip field.

radius-2 radiusd[1354]: timestamp="2016-10-13 16:21:09" package-type="Accounting-Request" acct-status-type="Start" username="abc@abc.edu.tr" calling-station-id="EC:9B:F3:xx:xx:xx" called-station-id="20:B3:99:xx:xx:xx" ap_name="HOPA-MYO-KAT-Z" nas="eduroam" ip="0.0.0.0" session-time=""

As you see it is 0.0.0.0. The interim update package logs shows the client ip.

Any idea why it shows client ip as 0.0.0.0?

When the session starts, DHCP hasn't occurred so there's no IP address to report. There is an option "Defer sending the accounting start request until the client's IP address is known" in Advanced RADIUS settings.
