iPads and Apple TVs will not conenct to ssid

We use iPads and Apple TVs in our schools. We have a Enterasys C5210 wireless controller with 3605 and 3610 APs. We have 2 SSIDs that the students/teachers use. One is called "wlan" which uses a static WEP 128 bit key length. Devices cannot connect to "wlan" anymore. It used to work just fine. After entering the passphrase, an error pops up saying, "There was a problem connecting to the network. The Wi-Fi password you entered is not correct. Try again. ", although it is the correct password. Devices can successfully join our other SSID, "wpa" just fine. which uses WPAv2-PSK with AES.
Has anyone ever seen this error or know why we are seeing this issue?

I must ask, why are you using WEP? It can be easily hacked in less than a minute these days.

There are a few knowledge base articles out there about IOS and WEP. What version are you running on C5210? https://gtacknowledge.extremenetworks.com/articles/Solution/ios-devices-do-not-get-ip-when-using-WEP...
