Dear Community,
I would like to expand an old, but reliably operate deployment (2 WS2000 Wifi controller and 6 AP300 and the clients are Zebra BarCodeScanners.).
Can I expand his working system with AP7522? The roaming is very important in this case.
Or Should I deploy a new installation with a new controller and new APs?
Thanks in advance!

Hello Attila Horvath,
This is an unsupported scenario but it doesn´t mean it couldn´t work. For Zebra Mobile Computers at least.
It would be better to renew all the Access points to WiNG 5 but you can test if you want mixing WS2000/AP300 with AP7522.
The customer need to know that there is a chance this deployment doesn´t work and he Will need to Deploy a new installation with new APs.

Attila,
this is great choice - do avoid testing of unsupported whenever you cannot afford a failure!
One note to the end:
AP75x2 is completely different piece of RF hardware compared to AP300.
Do pay attention to its installation (placement) and a site survey to confirm results.
Never replace different generations / platforms of APs 1-for-1
Regards,
Ondrej

Hello Pablo,
Thank you for your quick answer!
Unfortunately, we could not test the mixed environmet, hence I will suggest that they use AP7522 as a VC.
Best Regards,
Attila
