Hello Community,

1. I want to know the criteria and the time is taking to Smart RF 2 (WING 5.9.2) to shutdown the radio when it's needed.

2. Smart RF in generally doing calculation based on the sniffing the neibours, but not based on the wireless client's info was shared by the wireless clients.
Can we add the data to SMART RF calculation algorithm with enabling "radio-resource-measurement" in WLAN config ? Or it's performing some other function?

It is assumed that you wouldn't give all radios the same channel in actual deployment. If you are doing this to test the feature, please have more than 3 radios in the setup. You can set them to channel 1 and you will see Select Shutdown hiding them as needed.

OK, but I configured only one channel "1" for using by smart-rf policy !
You mean this criteria that Interference Recovery will handle assigning channels 1, 6 and 11 among the three I can't change/reconfig in smart-rf policy ???

In addition, you can see there is a very huge CCI (attenuation between them) about -30 !!!!!

By me, it's very strange.
I missing something here.

Hello Aviv,

Select Shutdown feature is aimed at large deployment to reduce CCI on 2.4GHz. For a smaller deployment, less than 4, Select Shutdown will not consider any of the radios for hiding. The reason for this is, Interference Recovery will handle assigning channels 1, 6 and 11 among the three or less 2.4GHz radios.

In your case, Select Shutdown finds there are only 2 radios in the deployment, so it does not consider any radio for hiding.
