Hello together,
we want to realize that we only SNMP Traps for unadopted Access-Points send to our Monitoringtool "Spectrum". (WiNG 5.x)
We have try to configure only Traps for "unadopted access-points"
> config-event-system-policy-NAME
> event ap ap-unadopted snmp on
>
but we recieved no traps, but we have start a Test with two un-adopted.
Is it the correct trap we have actived, or anyone have configured a same construction or have an idea?!
Thank you in advance!

Rather than setting the SNMP TRAPS on the AP, it would be better to set the traps on the controller to tell you when the AP unadopted. This would be under the DEVICE TAB on your event policy. If you set the AP to notify you when it unadopts, you will not be notified if the AP looses network connectivity

Hi,
As Andy wrote above - it is better to have the adoption monitoring centralized hence use it on controller.
You have to be careful where is the policy mapped. Think of the case device offline / down. AP won't be able to send trap for offline as it is offline, right?
Make sure you have adoption / availability related events configured on controller rather than end device.
Also, be careful what events are you setting - we have multiple adoption related events in system monitoring
Recommendation - start with wider setup and narrow it down...

Ondrej
