Changes
Configured the unit for SNMPv3 management.
Then, at any time afterward, rebooted the unit.

Symptoms
SNMP no longer functions, though the SNMP commands are still present.
Cannot be managed via SNMP.

Solution/Workaround
Upgrade to firmware 6.61.06.0009 or higher (14480).
Release notes state, in the '
code:
Changes and Enhancements in 6.61.06.0009
' section:
code:
15428
code:
The SNMPv3 User Credentials are now persistent across stack resets.

Pre-upgrade workaround:
Using serial (5463), Telnet, or SSH console access, manually recreate the affected SNMPv3 user(s): '
code:
set snmp user...
'.
It is not typically necessary to first clear the pre-existing user ('
code:
clear snmp user
<
username
>').
