Symptoms
Updating or changing the Boot Prom software.
Solution
The boot prom software is upgraded automatically during the process of upgrading the firmware (
5605), if the new firmware has a newer version of boot prom. If the unit is downgraded to a previous firmware version, the boot prom is not automatically downgraded.
There is no need to downgrade the boot prom; and in general, all firmware versions are compatible with all boot prom versions. When in doubt, please refer to the "BOOTPROM COMPATIBILITY:" section of firmware
release notes.
