Slow Support Site Downloads

Hi,
Can the bandwidth on the support site available for downloads be somehow increased. Even when you are at location that has large amounts of available bandwidth files don't seem to download much faster than 500Kbps.

Particularly when downloading the software updates this can take a large amount of time, when you are trying to address issues and didn't pre-download things, or when you have to be mobile and don't have a continuous connection for the several hours the downloads take.

Hi All-

We've released our content delivery network changes to production, and are in the process of validating the changes. Over the course of the next 1-2 weeks, we'll begin pointing product links to the new filestore.

If you have particular products that you download often and would like to see repointed, respond here and we'll get those set up and let you know.

This improvement is targeted specifically to the SW Downloads on the Support Portal listed as follows:

The biggest pain point in Slow SW Downloads feedback came from this lot, so the improvement Marc just updated the community on comes as welcome news.

Said another way, there is no change to the SW Downloads from the other navigation branch on the Support Portal:

• Downloads for BlackDiamond Series, Summit Series, E4G, ExtremeXOS and EOS

Long-term, we're committed to a consistent SW Download experience across all of our products. The behind the scenes to this solution is a huge step forward for us!

Woo! That sounds good. The downloads have been dreadful especially since the netsight upgrades are ~1.7GB

We are actively integrating a globally balanced content delivery network to resolve download access speeds around the world. We expect this to be live in our production download system by mid-June.

We'll update this post once everything is released to production.

It still takes 7-8 hours to download Netsight. This is really a big problem as we have ~250 Mbps bandwith.
