Hello everyone,
I'm encountering a problem when attempting to deploy Windows installations to multiple laptops by connecting a factory default 3549GTS-PWR+ switch to a 5320 switch running EXOS. Below are the scenarios I've tested:
Scenario 1: BOSS Ecosystem on Both Switches
Switch 1: Model 3549GTS-PWR+, firmware version v5.3.12.009, fully configured with the necessary VLANs. On port 47, the STP BPDU-filtering option is disabled.
Switch 2: Another 3549GTS-PWR+ with the same firmware version, reset to factory defaults, meaning no additional configuration.
Result: I can successfully deploy Windows installations to multiple laptops without issues.
Scenario 2: Integration of EXOS with BOSS
Switch 1: Model 5320, firmware version exos-arm64-sdk-3.1.19.1.0, fully configured with the necessary VLANs. On port 47, the edge-safeguard and bpdu-restrict options are disabled.
Switch 2: Model 3549GTS-PWR+ reset to factory defaults, without any additional configuration.
Result: I am unable to deploy Windows installations to the connected laptops.
Observations:
In the first scenario, where both switches operate under the BOSS system, deployment proceeds smoothly after disabling BPDU filtering on port 47 of the configured switch. However, in the second scenario, the combination of a switch with EXOS and another with BOSS seems to introduce compatibility challenges that prevent deployment.
Inquiry:
Has anyone experienced a similar situation or have suggestions on how to properly configure these switches to allow the deployment of Windows installations to multiple laptops? I would appreciate any guidance or recommendations to resolve this issue.
Thank you in advance for your assistance!
