I need more clear information about the forwarding rate of a switch. Do all Brands refer to the same point to calculate the Forwarding rate ( PPS )?
For example, the Forwarding rate of the X695 series is 1000 Mpps. Is this a theoretical value supported by chipset or a tested value?
Is Published PPS values in datasheets L2 forwarding rate or L3 forwarding rate?
Some vendors publish 2Bpps some of them 1Bpps for the switch has similar port densities. Thats why I have confused
