A 1568' house using an AP250 on the main floor. I seem to have very limited coverage areas. Equipment out on the deck, not 20 feet away from the AP250, can't connect. AP 250 is ceiling mounted (~8ft.) Can I increase coverage area?

In general you can increase your coverage area by increasing the power on the AP. Obstacles between the client device and the AP will reduce coverage, and you especially want to avoid metal, glass, or water as much as possible.

Would you be able to send some tech data from the AP250? I'd like to see what settings we're starting with now so I can make recommendations on improving your coverage from there. If you'd rather share the tech data with me directly, my email is communityhelp@aerohive.com.

Here are some guides on how to get tech data, depending on which HiveManager platform you are using:

HiveManager Classic-https://thehivecommunity.aerohive.com/s/article/How-to-download-tech-data-in-Classic

HiveManager NG-https://thehivecommunity.aerohive.com/s/article/How-to-download-tech-data-in-HiveManager

Device CLI-https://thehivecommunity.aerohive.com/s/article/Collecting-Tech-Data-via-CLI

This guide will walk you through how to determine which HiveManager you are using, for reference: https://thehivecommunity.aerohive.com/s/article/Which-HiveManager-Platform-am-I-using
