I have a problem sending a configuration to an AP1130. The AP does actually not accept the config.

Here below the details and the steps I followed for troubleshooting.

Would anybody have an idea?

The AP should actually be used for a point-to-point mesh link on WIFI1.

Hive Manager:

·        Build Id: 2018-09-19-03.37.13

·        Build Version: 12.8.0.75

·        VHM Id: 16227

AP 1130

·        MAC : F09CE9E9B880

·        Serial : 11301705260233

·        HiveOS (golden)

o  Running image: Current version

o  Current version: HiveOS 8.2r4 build-207023

o  Build host: ci403

o  Build time: Wed Aug 22 03:19:27 UTC 2018

o  Build by: build

o  Build cookie: 1808212019-207023

Step 1 :

·        Reset Device to Default

·        Assign network policy and location

Step 2 :

·        Update device: Complete Configuration Update

·        Activate at next reboot (requires rebooting manually)

·        Copy of Hive Manager complete configuration view, attached as files 001

Step 3 :

·        Show running config, attached as file 002

·        Show Startup Config, attached as file 003

Step 4 :

·        Reboot

·        Show running config, attached as file 004

·        Show Startup Config, attached as file 005

·        Show log, attached as file 006

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR SUPPORT

Gilles

Could you run the following debug commands on the CLI of AP, then replicate the issue and pull tech data?

Debug commands:

_debug capwap info

_debug capwap stat

_debug capwap basic

To get tech data you'll want to go to the Tools tab> Utilities> Get tech data> Check the box next to the AP> Get tech data (at the top of the page this time). Please feel free to email that tech data to me for review at communityhelp@aerohive.com.

I did not get an Update failure message as I did a "Complete Configuration Update" with "Update Activate at next reboot (requires rebooting manually)" and rebooted later.

I now tried "Delta Configuration Update". The error message it gives my is: "No response from device, probably communications timeout".

The device is back online in Hive Manager but has not applied my config.

Thank you for that data. Could you tell us what the error messages is when the device fails to take an update? You'll want to click on the Device Update Failed message to see the entire failure message.
