Hi,
I have an AP122 running HiveOS 8.4r8.
When I perform speed tests over my local WIFI network (from local server to user PC throug AP122), I only achieve at most 200Mbps.
This data rate are not related with user PC since the test has been done with a windows10 and a MacBook (both users download at 200Mbps at most).
On the other hand, test has been performed at 5GHz intrerface and at a few meters direct line-of-sight from the AP.
iperf results from windows10 as a client and AP122 as a server showed at most 95Mbps of bandwidth.
Moreover, AP122 is configured without any QoS policy (by default, it limits the data rate to 2000Mbps per client).
To finish the exposure, I have run the tests using two different routers (an Arcadyan from my ISP and a Mikrotik rb960) obtaining the same results. Of course, eth interfaces autosensing is set to on and showing 1Gbps.
Results with built-in WIFI ISP router (not using AP122) are about 400Mbps.
Some help will be appreciated.

For a two spatial stream device, such as the AP 122 which is a 2X2 device, you would be reaching the maximum wireless speeds already. This MCS chart is a good reference for seeing what speeds are possible within certain numbers of spatial streams: https://www.wlanpros.com/mcs-index-charts/. Your wired speeds and wireless speeds will never match, we can expect at least a 50% drop between wired and wireless speeds, and that is without an interference in the network which is not the case here.

@Nick Lowe Indeed, when I download a large file (several GB) at 210Mbps (2 spacial streams @5GHz ), AP122 CPU rises up to 100% (mainly 'Soft interrupt utilization').
However, download speed is really constant.
At the end, very happy to know my hardware limitations and performance since this a really great AP for my domestic purposes with really good performance.
Thank you all for your help!

@Nick Lowe I'll check that later on

Understood! Thank you Sam

Hi Sergi,
Please can you check the CPU usage as you perform this test via the shell:
show cpu detail
I suspect that this is expected characteristics of the hardware and a key differentiator between what would be observed on the the 2x2 AP122 vs. the higher end 2x2 AP130 in the product line up.
The AP122 and AP130 are both great APs, targeted for different use cases.
Regards,
Nick
