?

I have four Aerohive AP250 on my network. One of the access point fails and i got replacement from vendor. Now when i am connecting access point in my network in same switchport where previous AP was connected, the new AP is not getting ip from DHCP. I have tried command int mgt0 dhcp-probe vlan-range (native vlan).

But still it is not getting IP. After i tried to assign mgt0 interface with manual IP. Strange this is that i can ping AP ip but when i restart device AP ip is not reachable. However ip is same what i have assigned manually.( Show interface mgt0.

When i see switchport in my cisco switch light is not blinking. It means it is providing PoE only i guess.

Is there anything which i am missing in AP as all of other AP is working fine.

Hi,

There is no issue in VLAN. AP will take ip one time but after restart it is showing ip as 192.168.1.1. We have another 3 access points of same model and working fine. I have connected AP in same working AP switch port still same thing.

is is possible to check DHCP log from CLI.

Most probably wrong VLAN configuration on new AP? Rogue DHCP server? Still can't figure it out, span the switch port, take a packet capture. Also examine at the server DHCP logs for clues. Alternatively isolate the AP, connected directly to the laptop, you should easily be able to observe the DHCP requests from the AP when if first turns on confirming that it is indeed configured as expected using Wireshark.

Have you checked to see whether the DHCP server is full?
