AP650 stuck on 10.0r8a and won't update to 10.1r5

I have multiple AP650’s that are stuck on 10.0r8a and won’t update to the latest firmware of 10.1r5.  I’ve tried doing a firmware rollback, but didn’t have any luck. Any ideas?

Here’s the latest info from GTAC:

IQEngine 10.1r5 is not currently considered to be stable for the AP650. We will be removing it as the default firmware version for that model. The current recommended firmware for the AP650 is 10.0r8a.

I didn’t realize we would were beta testers a7fd520c0a254ed5b4803a92d20d9b08_1f609.png , but at least we all know to avoid 10.1r5 for the AP650.

Quick update: GTAC was able to replicate the issue in the TAC lab; it’s now being escalated to engineering.

We currently have 19 AP’s having this issue. I tried what you had suggested by turning off the radios, the same result occurred. I’ll open a case and once I have a resolution I’ll post it here.

Thank you, Paul, for your assistance.

The above log seems related. Does this issue happen to multiple APs?

Will the upgrade succeed if you disable both wifi interfaces temporarily?

I would suggest you contact GTAC or partner and raise a support case for this issue.
