Hi all!
?
On my ap650 5ghz antenna settings for band steering I see there's 3 options
Balanced,? Encourage and enforce.
?
The first two make sense
?
Balanced- balance clients between 2.4 and 5.
encourage? don't respond to a 2m4ghx request for a certain amount of time at first contact to make the client request 5ghz.
?
But what does enforce do?
?
?
?
Also for the high density option,
?
Should I be taking any steps with this?
?
have 2 ap 650's about 30 feet away from each other but separated by 2 walls made of drywall.
?
Should I turn this feature on or leave it off? (This is a home lab environment)?
?
Any help would be much appreciated !?

The Enforce setting for band steering with force clients to use the wifi1 radio and if they are unable to use 5GHz they will be unable to connect. You can read more about those settings here: http://docs.aerohive.com/330000/docs/help/english/ng/Content/gui/configuration/configuring-radio-profile.htm
High Density settings should only be turned on when the APs are in the same room with one another. This guide elaborates on when High Density should be used: https://thehivecommunity.aerohive.com/s/article/When-to-Use-High-Density-Settings

Thanks for clarify, if that was the case Enforce 5.0 GHz band usage: Select to disallow connections on the 2.4 GHz band, then why not disable the 2.4gh instead. My understanding is legacy 2.4gh clients should still able to connect to 2.4gh, right?
