My guess would be your configuration of the AP.

50-60 Mbps puts you at about a MCS14/15 rate if I had to guess on a 20 MHz wide channel. You're throughput could roughly double for a 40 MHz wide channel configuration assuming rather clean spectrum.

Your "cheap netgear access point" may also be 802.11ac vs. 802.11n on the AP121. It may also be a 3x3:3 AP where the AP121 is a 2x2:2.

So understanding their actual limitations a bit and mimic'ing configuration would likely explain the differences.

Hi, I have an AP121 and a 300MBits internet connection. Unfortunately I can't get more than 50-60MBits from the Aerohive Wifi during a speed test. With a cheap netgear access point I get about 280MBits.

Where will be my limitation?

QAS is default.

Radio n/g at 2,4 and 5 ghz.
