Hello, we want to upgrade our current HM NG 12.8.1.2 with AP250 on hiveOS 8.2r2 to 19.5.1.7 with hiveOS 10.0r7a for our APs. If we go back to 12.8.1.2 will the HM loose the connection with the APs if its not compatible with HiveOS 10.0r7a ?

That is correct, if you downgrade the HiveOS to an earlier version via the CLI or it's Web UI, then you'd be able to manage the APs in the HiveManager again.

Hi Sam, thank you for the answer. So in that case the only solution would be to connect to the APs CLI or GUI and downgrade the HiveOS from there ?

The HM might not loose connection with the APs completely, but you won't be able to manage the APs or push updates out to those devices as the HM won't know how to work with a firmware that didn't exist when it was released.
