Hi Sam,
Thanks for getting back to me. Good to know about the free one.
I'm currently on 6.2r1a .
And just out of curiosity about what you mentioned about the enterprise level features - is it just not offered in the free HiveManager or just not available for free users? I guess what I'm trying to ask is if I use CLI would I be able to configure them? Not that I would really need these features but I bought this to practice with my homelab that's hooked up to a bunch of Cisco routers and switches, I would play with them if CLI will still work. I'm more familiar with command lines anyway.
Thanks.
Alex.

We have a free HiveManager that you can use to manage your devices, called HiveManager Connect. Connect does not have all of the enterprise level networking features that a paid version of Aerohive's HiveManager would offer, but it is free to use and geared more for home use or small offices. This guide reviews how to register for a Connect instance: https://thehivecommunity.aerohive.com/s/article/Registering-for-HiveManager-Connect
You'll also be able to manage your firmware version via the HiveManager Connect instance, but you'll need to be on firmware version 6.5r3 at minimum to use the device in HiveManager. If you're currently on an older version, please let me know what version you're on now and I can send you the files you'll need to get the device up to date and in the HiveManager.
