hmva license on new VM

Dear,

I am planning to upgrade a hmva to the latest version. as the patching would anyway involve the creation of a new VM, I plan to directly create the new VM with the latest version and recreate the hive configuration manualy afterwards. (instead of following multi patches path)

I am wondering if I can use the old license on the new VM?

The license has also been renewed for 3 years in the meantime.

The new VM will be installed on the same server and will totatly replace the old one.

As long as the old instance is completely turned off you should be able to use the licenses in your new HiveManager instance. If you get an error stating the licenses have already been used, please feel free to email the licenses to me at communityhelp@aerohive.com and I will reinitialize them for you.
