I have tried to delete and re-onboard them again, but still not managing updateing network policy..

the AP I've been working on today has IQ Engine 10.0r8 build-236132 running. the mouse over "Device Update failed" ends with Caused by: Unknown.

Thank you for confirming that. Could you enable CAPWAP debugs on an AP having this issue, replicate the update failure, then pull tech data and send that to me at communityhelp@aerohive.com?

yepp, some of the AP's on the same network, behind the same FW, will perform an update after a reboot. makes me pretty sure 😉

Could you confirm you have the necessary ports open on your firewall for updates to go through? This page reviews the ports we use for different services, for reference: http://docs.aerohive.com/330000/docs/help/english/ng/Content/reference/services-source-and-destination-ports.htm
