Once connected to the hidden SSID (we'll call it SQMOB), the iPads say they are connected, but do not have an internet connection. I'm completely new to this and the guy who usually works with the Aerohives is out of the country. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, you'd want to make sure they are getting an IP address. Is the defective SSID using a different VLAN than the working SSID? I might recommend running a VLAN probe in the tools section to make sure the VLAN is active and can find a DHCP server. If that doesn't lead anywhere, you'd want to run a packet capture to see what part of the DHCP handshake you are seeing.
If you are using HiveManager (cloud.aerohive.com), this guide will help you set up a packet capture- https://thehivecommunity.aerohive.com/s/article/Packet-Capture-in-NG
If you are using HiveManager Classic (myhive.aerohive.com)- https://thehivecommunity.aerohive.com/s/article/Packet-Capture
