yes, everything seems correct but if you try to test the settings, you get an error referring to a wrong mail address, that both are correct of course.
I mean, if the mail is sent by a cloud server - so outside our company - it sounds strange to me i need to insert my MX record because i guess the system should use an Aerohive's SMTP server instead of mine, or, better, doens't need any SMTP at all because i need to insert the email address of sender/alert but then i don't need to add anything else.
Of course, this should be a setting needed in case i have an internal appliance or maybe is the mail sent through an internal access point that then makes sense? Honestly, i didn't find a clear explanation about this matter
Thanks again for your kind support

Thank you for your VHM ID. I took a look and the settings seem correct to me. When you say you don't understand "this parameter", could you clarify which parameter you mean? Also, I see you have email alerts set up, are you getting any of those?

Are you using HiveManager Classic online or on premises? If you're online, could you send me your VHM ID (Help> About HiveManager)? I'd like to take a look at your email server settings if I could.

Thanks Sam for your prompt reply.
about SMTP, yes, it should be correct, if i change it with a different one i get an error message related to it, but i do not understand this parameter, now this is my MX record but using a cloud service i guess the mails are send out from outside so it sounds strange the setting needs my SMTP, am i wrong?
About the case, i've a contract support and i'ld like to solve it by myself instead if possible. Thanks

I'd recommend confirming the SMTP server settings. If that doesn't help, you might want to open a case with your partner for help investigating the issue.
