If I shoot down the 5Ghz band in the AP

If I shoot down the signal in the 5GHz band in an AP in a specific SSID.Will It work right the AP in both bands?

If you turn off a 5GHz SSID and leave the same SSID running on 2.4GHz, other SSIDs will still work on the 5GHz band of that AP. Is that what you are asking?
