We have a small office where we are installing 2 APs (AP390s) that we had in stock from another office we closed down. We currently do not have a Hivemanager deployed to manage these devices however, we do have the .ova for Hivemanager classic and plan on deploying that on one of our ESX servers. What are our options as it pertains to licensing? Will we need to license for the Hivemanager or can we get away with purchasing perpetual licenses for the APs? Any help you can provide would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The HiveManager doesn't need entitlement keys so much as you need entitlement keys( a.k.a licenses) added in to the HiveManager in order to manage devices in the HiveManager. The entitlement key will cover a certain number of devices to be managed. We do offer perpetual licenses for on premises deployments, and you would want to purchase those from your reseller, or you can contact our general sales line at 866.918.9918.
For a small office, you might also want to consider our Connect HiveManager, which does not have some of the more advanced enterprise level features, but is free to use so you wouldn't need to purchase any licenses from here on out. Since you've already purchased the APs, this would be a way to move forward with using Aerohive for free. This guide shows you how to register for a Connect HiveManager, in case you're interested- https://thehivecommunity.aerohive.com/s/article/Registering-for-HiveManager-Connect
Please don't hesitate to let me know if I can clarify or expand on anything for you.
