We're installing several for 35° directional antenna's (Ventev's TerraWave High Density 14 dBi Patch Wi-Fi Antenna, link below) outside on the AP1130. What would we set the "External Antenna" settings to?

I think you'd be limited to "other". If you run the command "interface wifiX radio antenna antenna type ?" it shows all the options available for external antenna's. Other seems to be the only non-Aerohive related option.
Output:
AH-0cde00#interface wifi0 radio antenna type
omni Set the antenna type to be Aerohive-certified
omnidirectional for point-to-multipoint wireless links
other Set the antenna type to be any other antenna that is not
certified by Aerohive
sector-120 Set the antenna type to be Aerohive-certified 120-degree
sectoral for point-to-multipoint wireless links
sector-60 Set the antenna type to be Aerohive-certified 60-degree
sectoral for point-to-multipoint wireless links

How would the "External Antenna" settings change the AP's behaviour when choosing the "other" option vs. to the "omni" option?
