The question in the usage of Transmission Power Max Drop

The question in the usage of Transmission Power Max Drop

Hi all, after reading the

https://thehivecommunity.aerohive.com/s/question/0D50c00006Qj1jyCAB/radio-profile-settings?language=...

We know that:

Transmission power floor = Set the minimum radio power for automatic adjustment.

Transmission Power Max Drop = Set the maximum drop in radio transmission power.

I just have a question to the "Transmission Power Max Drop".

What is the usage of it exactly?

For example, I am going to allow the AP auto maximum power of the Radio to 20 with minimum to 2.

Then what is the AP auto adjustment behaviour if the Transmission Power Max Drop is using the default "9" and my manual "20"?

Thanks.

With a maximum power setting of 20, a minimum power setting of 2, and a transmission power drop max of 9, that would mean if the AP did a background scan and determined a power drop was needed, the most it could do if it started at a power setting of 20 would be to drop to 11. Then, on the next background scan, if the AP determined another power drop was needed, it would go from 11 to 2. The AP can only change the power level within 9dBm of the power setting it is currently using. This setting is used to prevent massive power level shifts all at once.
