Hi Sazon,
Please see the below KB on how to configure SNMP for each platform.

Hi Sazon
I can’t speak for the MLX, but the VDX manuals are very straightforward in this regard. I knew nowt about SNMPv3 when I started but the manual successfully walked me through the (too many) mechanisms.
One word of caution which you won’t get from the manuals is - for SNMPv1 / v2c community strings - such as monstrously complex strings with non-printing characters & !$%£ type of thing.
Dont use them.
Really don’t.
Just stick to standard alphabets, not complexities which might be mis-interpreted as an escape sequence by an underlying linux operating system…They are sent in clear text so a packet capture could find them - so just make them look like something else, or don’t use snmpv1/v2c.
I’m not saying you’ll definitely crash the vdx, maybe snmpv1 might not work properly & you might not be able to undo it. So factory reset & reload the config from scratch, nothing major…
Enjoy.
