MLXe chassis showing as MLX (( Netiron ))

Hello , 

I have a strange problem ,  MLXe 4 chassis think it’s MLX Chassis, 

I tried upgrading it to different version with no avail ,

any way I can fix this identity crisis ?

yea I tried to input  ð  but no way I can type it on putty or MobiXtreme .. do you have any tip I can type  ð with ?

No, because it is an ASCII string, you will need to find a way to enter f0 as hex character or as a special ascii character, e.g. decimal 240 = hex F0 = ð. It may be possible only via a serial connection. I am also not 100% sure if this is going to fix all your problems, pity Extreme can’t help.

OK extreme refused to suppiort the device as it was out of warranty , 

So I will try my luck and try the command you gave me myself ,

so I should write 

 dm write-chassis-eeprom 2F fo  ?

 Thanks alot , I will open a ticket with extreme , hopefully they will support on this even though the device have no support anymore
