I’m looking for a CLI guide for the Defender devices.

You can run ‘cget config global’ to see your config settings.  To see just the ip address you set for the article above you can run this command: cat /home/config/current.cfg | grep "cset auth"  to get just those settings.

Also you can run tail -f /tmp/log/ap.log and see what the ap is currently doing, like trying to connect to the wireless controller.

I’m trying to troubleshoot a Defender (SA201) device. I’m trying to configure the SA for external (to our network) use using this article https://gtacknowledge.extremenetworks.com/articles/How_To/How-to-configure-controller-s-IP-in-the-AP...

Currently the only remediation I have is a factory reset. I’m looking for commands to verify what I have entered or other basic commands...

The base product for Defender Application is ExtremeCloud Appliance. We do not fully support a CLI on ExtremeCloud Appliance. Instead, we encourage use of the REST API, which is fully documented. See https://extremenetworks.com/documentation/extremecloud-appliance for REST API documentation.

If you are referring to the adapter SA201, we do not have CLI definition on the AP39xx/SA201.
