Hello,
I’m currently working with a 4220 switch and need to configure LLDP-MED. However, I’ve encountered an issue where certain LLDP-MED configuration commands are not allowed via the CLI. Below are the commands I attempted to use:
enable lldp port all
configure lldp port all advertise vendor-specific med capabilities
configure lldp port all advertise vendor-specific med power-via-mdi
configure lldp port all advertise vendor-specific med policy application voice vlan voip dscp 46
configure lldp ports all advertise system-capabilities
configure lldp port all advertise vendor-specific dot1 port-protocol-vlan-id vlan voip
configure lldp ports all advertise vendor-specific dot1 vlan-name vlan voip
Since these commands seem restricted, I’m exploring the following:
SNMPv3 Configuration:
Is it possible to configure LLDP-MED on the 4220 switch using SNMPv3 instead of CLI?
Tool Compatibility:
Can tools like SNMP MIB Browser, snmpget, or snmpset be used to implement LLDP-MED configuration effectively on the 4220?
SNMPv3 Limitations:
Are there any specific configurations or LLDP-MED features on the 4220 that cannot be managed through SNMPv3?
