ExtremeCloud IQ Controller (formerly known as Extreme Campus Controller) 10.01.01 has been released.
Extreme Campus Controller has been rebranded to ExtremeCloud IQ Controller.
This revision is available as upgrade for the full list of ExtremeCloud IQ Controller appliance form factors {Physical/HW Appliances: E1120, E2120, E2122, E3120; Virtual Appliances: VE6120/H/K and VE6125/K).
ExtremeCloud IQ Controller V10.01 not only moves to subscription only licensing mode, but further normalizes the capacity subscription in alignment to ExtremeCloud IQ subscriptions (XiQ-NAV-S-C and/or XIQ-PIL-S-C).
Note: ExtremeCloud IQ- Site Engine 22.3.10+ is required to manage ExtremeCloud IQ Controller 10.01 or newer revisions.
Note #2: Extreme Management Center (XMC) does NOT support/recognize appliances upgraded to ExtremeCloud IQ Controller V10+. Please work towards migrating to ExtremeCloud IQ – Site Engine (22.3.10+ required)
Enhancements with 10.01.01 include:
- ExtremeCloud IQ Controller is licensed as subscription-only leveraging the same subscriptions as ExtremeCloud IQ, normalizing capacity management to Navigator or Pilot level subscriptions
- Automated onboarding of ExtremeCloud IQ Controllers into ExtremeCloud IQ accounts (VIQ)
- Enhanced maximum capacity of E3120 hardware controller to 10,000 managed devices (per controller; 20,000 paired capacity)
- Adjusted SmartRF protocol to align channel selection with Preferred Scan Channels (PSC) for radio management in 6Ghz band
- Improved option to control restrictions of Layer 2 network broadcasts to only essential services (ARP, DHCP) at a topology (VLAN) level
- Introduced new Diagnostics dashboard to better expose system's operational state
- Introduced support for transparent bridging in Mesh connections for WiFi6 (802.11ax) or newer APs
- Enhanced AP SmartPoll widget to support in-column sorting
- Deprecated support for integration with ExtremeLocation
