Hi,
There have been some confusion among us.
Can anyone explain the license requirement on xiq-pilot for the situation listed below?
1. XIQ Controller - Hardware (ie. E1120)?
2. XIQ Controller - Virtual (ie. VE6120)?
Unlike XIQ-SE where we know we need one xiq-pilot license on top of other devices, do we need the same xiq-pilot licenses for each of these situations?
Thanks in advanced!

Hi K-phi,
Noted, just to manage the device ITSELF will require ONE additional pilot licensing. However, I came across this for the virtual. Any explanation on the pilot license requirement on the Virtual controller?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Very strange, as the following article says otherwise...
https://extremeportal.force.com/ExtrArticleDetail?an=000109753
Is it a virtual XIQ controller migrated from v.5.x to v.10.x ?
Could you share a screenshot for the "Entitlements" menu of your vE6120 (License menu --> Entitlements) ?
Thx
Kevin

Hi,
Whether you have physical or virtual devices, it's one XIQ-PILOT license per supported Extreme Networks device and XIQ-NAV license per Extreme Networks Legacy/Third Party device that you have/want to manage on XIQ-SE (Cloud or On-Prem).
Please note that in case you have Extreme Networks Legacy device (f.e Enterasys switches) and no XIQ-NAV, the device will automatically consume one XIQ-PIL in your pool of XIQ licenses.
