Hi All
Is there any other way of moitoring switch uptime other than SNMP on Netsight? I am finding that SNMP for some switches is to "sensitive" creating quite a few false system down alarms. We however need SNMP to manage our switches.

Have you tried uping the retries and timeout values in Netsight?
If not, please review the following article.

If you are using NetSight you can adjust the time out and retry setting to reduce or from I have seen eliminate most the false alarms.
Currently the only time we have issues is when pushing new code out to the switches. In most cases this still causes the switches to miss a cycle.
Hope the timers work for you
