Custom Statistic for Alarms

Trying to create an alarm, very similar to https://extremeportal.force.com/ExtrArticleDetail?an=000080560

but I would like to create a custom Statistic. In the above article, the Statistic name has a source of 5 counters. I just want 3 of them (I’m not as concerned about the discards). 

How can I (or can I) create a custom statistic that will show up in the drop down of Statistic Name?

Using XMC, 8.3.3.11.

Hello XTRMUser,

as far as I know you can't create your own statistics or a new combination of single values for an alarm. You can only select from the available statistics.

For completeness even in reports you can combine different statistics for an own report but you can't create own statistics.
