I want to export csv file attached in the mail from workflow. I am able to export the textfile but I want to export csv file instead of textfile.

Yes, it generate a file. I do not have a smtp server in lab so I am using a standard python email sending program which works for text file.

You do not need SMTP server in your lab. you can use Google the same way = https://extremeportal.force.com/ExtrArticleDetail?an=000083346
