Hi, I configured the syslog server in a switch and Ia have a netsight but how can i Know that the server is running ?
I hope you can help me.

On a Linux Apppliance you can login via ssh and use "service rsyslog status".
Normaly you will receive: rsyslog start/running, process xxx

Based on operating system. The syslog server is listening on UDP 514 execute: netstat -an If you see there udp 514 there then it is running. Regards
