I'm working through setting alarms up on our interswitch links on linkdown alarms.
(great tutorial for that is here: https://community.extremenetworks.com/extrememanagement-230297/individual-interface-alarms-in-xmc-78...)
The email alert is the generic:
Device: DeviceName
Severity: Error
Message: Agent Interface Down on interface 203, Port 1/12
Is it possible to pull the interface name and put that in the email? I didn't notice it in the keywords, but don't know if it can be done by kicking off a script and passing the info or something.
Thanks,

Hello,
You should be able to add the $alarmSubComponent item into the alarm overrides to have it provide an alias if available.

Sorry I forgot to reply to this after you responded. This is exactly what I needed, I think I over looked it in the keywords because I was looking for "interface name" not "port name" and got tunnel vision.
Thanks for the help!
