Slow firmware transfers since migration to SE 24.07

Hello,

I needed to migrate a customer to XIQ-SE 24.07 and just upgraded to 24.10. In both of them firmware upgrades transfers are extremelly slow. I haven't seen any log leading to a diagnose. For instance summit_arm-32.7.1.9-patch1-49.xos (110M) takes about 20-30 minutes to download to a 5320. I tried exactly the same download with scp from the switch cli to the tmp filesystem and it takes 20secs.

Is there any way to improve the performance of downloads? Or where I can look for any indication about what is not ok in the setup?

thanks  in advance

Salva

The issue could be with CLI prompt detection. The SCP file transfer could be stalling. There could be any number of reasons why you are seeing what you are reporting.

Hello,
I'm digging up this subject because I'm facing the same issue, after upgrading XIQ-SE. both TFPT/SCP transfert because sluggish. (5min for 50MO because 25/30min)

There is no change on the network and the XIQ-SE server download/upload rate are fine when done by SCP from/to a computer.

Did you solve this issue ?

Thanks, Regards

If you've recently upgraded to 25.05.11 there is an issue impacting EXOS/Switch Engine firmware upgrades that will be addressed in 25.05.12.

Otherwise your problem description lacks pertinent details to diagnose. Consider opening a case w/ GTAC.

Additional context,

I followed the steps in the scp update script used for firmware dowloand by XIQ-SE and I can execute it manually in 5-7 minutes including the tiping in the switch. The same process is about 30-50mins when executed by XIQ-SE.
