Hello,
When enabling MAC authentication on a switch port the following, I see this:
Enabling MAC authentication on one or more of the selected devices requires a password be configured before MAC authentication will occur. Select cancel to specify a password in the device config tab's 'MAC Authentication Settings', or continue to set the current configuration.
Can someone explain exactly what this MAC password is used for and when/where this will appear? The documentation (User Guide) has nothing at all about this.

when the new MAC is seen on the port the switch does generate radius request to the radius server. The request does have username and password. The username is the mac address. The password is what you can define.
i hope it is answer for your question.

Thank you. I think that makes sense now. I do see in the switch config where this was added after enforcing.
